********************************* CD Tray, Shareware Version 3.03 ********************************* INSTALLATION --------------------------------------------------------------------------- To install, execute CDTRAY3.EXE from Windows. The CD Tray setup program will then install CD Tray onto your hard disk in the directory you specify. IF YOU HAVE A PREVIOUS VERSION OF CD TRAY ON YOUR SYSTEM --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The version 3.03 Disc Library record format has changed. You may safely install CD Tray, version 3.03 into the same directory as your previous version. If your version of CD Tray is version 2.0 or lower you will need to convert your library files to the new format using the supplied utility, CONVCD.EXE. You may run CONVCD prior to running CD Tray, version 3.03 if you wish. If not, CD Tray will detect that your files are from a previous version when executed for the first time and will execute CONVCD for you, if necessary. For safety, your disc library files will be saved to different files in the same directory by CONVCD prior to conversion. Therefore, ensure you have enough hard disk space available to accomodate the backups of your database files as well as a new larger set of CD Tray database files, CDTRAY.DAT and CDTRAY.IXC. If you decide to install CD Tray, version 3.03 into a different directory initially from your previous version, keep in mind that you will have to manually edit the CDTRAY.INI 'DbDirectory=' key entry to point the correct version at the correct location of the proper version of the Disc Library files. It is highly recommended you do not keep two different versions of CD Tray on your Windows system. Refer to the CD Tray help file for more information. NOTE ON USING WINZIP FOR EXTRACTING THIS FILE --------------------------------------------------------------------------- You may have problems running CDTRAY3.EXE from WinZip. Specifically, this installation program may abort abnormally when double-clicking it from WinZip. This is a problem with the CD Tray installation program and not WinZip. To resolve the problem, first, extract the file CDTRAY3.EXE to a directory on your system. Next, run CDTRAY3.EXE by double-clicking the icon from File Manager. Enjoy! JenJen Software
